  5. When I taught upper grades I LOVED to teach word choice! Now that I am a kinder teacher I spend most of my time teaching about spaces and punctuation, haha. I am thrilled to be a new follower!

  8. Right now we're learning how to make better sentences with describing words. It is amazing to see the little light bulbs above their heads as they are thinking real hard about what words they can use to describe the noun. So fun!

  9. I like to tie in a book I have read then use it to teach a lesson - I use the five writing traits alot as they have many good ideas for books and a writing lesson as well.

  11. I love teaching persuasive writing using The GreT Kapok Tree. students write letters to persuade the tree cutter to put down his ax.
