When I found out that she too was hosting a linky party at the same time that I was I just had to join in the fun! {Click here or on the button below if you haven't yet linked up to my RACK-Random Acts of Christmas Kindness linky party that ends on December 31}
2012 has been such a wonderful year! Isn't reflection so good for the heart? As I stop and think back over this past year, I feel overwhelming blessed by all that the Lord has done in and through me. It makes me look forward to all He has in store for 2013! Yet I get ahead of myself, because this linky is meant to spotlight some of the highlights and blogging friends from blogging in 2012, so here it goes!
Best and Brightest First Follower:
I only started blogging this summer, and I don't ever think I will forget my first follower! You all know how it was--when you first begin you wonder "Will anyone want to read this?" {there are still days now that I wonder that...} and you even start contemplating following your own blog just so that there isn't a big goose egg under your followers tab! Well, thankfully sweet Heather from Heather's Heart saved me from having to follow myself and not only followed but she was also my very first comment {here}. She will always hold such a special place in my heart! If you haven't stopped by Heather's blog before, please make sure you do! This girl has such a precious heart and a wonderful gift of encouragement!
Best and Brightest Freebie:
I heart freebies! And if you follow my blog or TPT store then you know that I like giving freebies as much as I like finding them! The first thing I ever made for TPT was my BUILD math posters freebies {they are available in 5 different color options!} This black and white theme has been my most downloaded freebie this year. Click the cover to check it out!Probably my most favorite freebie was the first craftivity I ever made for TPT which is my Zero the Hero craftivity! My kids loved it and it was SO encouraging to hear how other teachers were able to use it in their classroom too! Click the picture to snag your copy for your classroom!
Best and Brightest Blogging SCREAM:
Yes, you read that correctly: scream! My best and brightest blogging scream came this year when I found out that my BRAVO Board and Reward Coupons post {here} was featured in the Best of Behavior Management {Part 1} on What the Teacher Wants!
Do you see what person I'm under!? The UH-MAZING Cara Carroll of The First Grade Parade! Could it get any better than that!? I *might* have permanently damaged my poor hubby's ears the night I opened my email and discovered I had been featured! :) In all seriousness though, as teachers we know the value of having good behavior management systems and it was such an honor to be highlighted alongside of these incredibly gifted teachers! And there are so many other GREAT ideas that were featured in the linky party hosted by What the Teacher Wants! Trust me, you'll want to take the time to check them out and stock up your teacher tool box with these ideas!
Best and Brightest TPT Unit:
My best selling TPT unit this year was The First Gift of Christmas Craftivity!
My kiddos loved making it on our Polar Express Day at school! And if you would like a copy of it to make with your kiddos next Christmas one of my new blogging friends, Heather from Teaching My 3 is giving away a copy of it along with over 20 other best selling TPT items on her:
