Can you believe that summer break is almost here? The countdown has begun and I can’t stand the thought of my precious students not having the opportunity or motivation to be thinking and reading over the summer! We have worked too hard this year for that to happen! :) So I have put together this Ultimate Summer Break Challenge to send home with my students over the summer break!
What I love about this packet is that it contains 50 FUN math, reading, or writing activities for them to do. Plus it is LOW-Prep and printer friendly! Now that is a win-win!
Two calendars are included with all of the activities on them. The calendars are not date specific, but instead contain 50 days worth of activities. A student letter is included with instructions and I've also included an editable version of the student letter for you too. Students will pick one activity to do a day, but the activities do not have to be done in a specific order.
Some of the activities come with printables to complete the activity. These are noted on the calendar with a sun. There are 15 printables included:
The Summer Break challenge is Low-Prep. Just print and staple or put the papers into a folder!
Altogether this packet includes:
*instructions on how to use and make the packet
*a cover for the summer break challenge packet
*an instructional letter to the students (an editable version is included, but you need to have PowerPoint to edit the letter)
*Summer Break Challenge calendar with 50 FUN reading, writing, and math challenges
*Summer Vacation Journal
*15 Printables to go with the challenges
*Completion Form for parents to sign and students to return at the beginning of the new school year
*Certificate
*Prize Suggestions
*Alternate Version of the Challenge that includes only the cover, letter, calendars, and completion form
I've put the packet on sale for today and tomorrow! Click HERE to check it out!
I’m putting “The Ultimate Summer Break Challenge” in a folder and including it in my end of the year gift. I found the sand pails with shovels for a $1 each at the dollar store! And the chalk contained 20 pieces of chalk (4 sets of 5) and was at the dollar store too! I am also including a book that I got from Scholastic Book Club points. This gift only cost me under $1.50 a student! I will be giving them to my students on our last day of school!
How many days of school do you have left until summer? We're at 24 days! Leave how many days you have left until the end of the year and an email address. The first 2 people to leave a comment will get this packet for free!
We have 24 too! I can't wait to use this pack! Sarahilona@gmail.com :)
