Groundhogs Day Predictions and a FREEBIE

Groundhog's day is just around the corner and tomorrow my kiddos and I are going to enjoy making these cuties:

One thing I love about Groundhogs day is that it is perfect for integration!! We will start tomorrow by reading a Groundhogs book and discussing Groundhogs Day. Then we will make and chart our predications (Hello math integration-how I love thee!!). I will use this chart that I made up last year:

You can snag this chart for FREE by clicking HERE or on the picture of the graph below to grab your copy! The graph is the last page of the Preview on Teachers Pay Teachers. Just click the preview button and you can print the graph!
Clipart and Fonts thanks to: Miss Tiina and Graphics From the Pond

We will then write about our predictions with our groundhog writing craftivity. Check out these cuties from my kids last year! I will have to snap pictures of the ones my kids make tomorrow to share with you, but in the meantime I thought you might enjoy these!

Ha! This groundhog from last year makes me laugh! We decided that our girl groundhog would be named Phyllis!

If you are still looking for some groundhog day activities my groundhog craftivity has many different writing options and includes all of the pieces you will need! It even comes with a blackline option incase you just want your students to color it in:
If you can't fit it in before Groundhogs day, you could use the Dear Groundhog option as an opinion writing piece after Groundhogs day for the kids to write a letter telling the groundhog how they feel about the results from Saturday!
